Q: engine swaps?
is it possible to swap the 1996 hondas vtech engine for any of these otehr engines? 1993 mazda rx7 rotary engine block 2001 nissan skyline n1 inline block 2005 ford mustang v6 block 2005 ford mustang v8 block oh and i forgot to put is it possible to take a 1994 toyota supra 1JZ-GTE and put it in a 1996 honda civic

A: There's your sign! rear wheel drive engines really don't like the small engine compartment of the Honda 2.2 liter that sits sideways. Extensive modifications and rear axle drive shaft you might have that gen3 win turbo RX-7 engine and transmission in there in about a year or two. I imagine a $10,000 bill to make a 3,500 dollar car go a little faster. Just buy a new car with warranty.

Q: i need to find a Junk Yard that has old cars and that is affordable?

Q: I'm looking for some one that knows about importing Skyline's?
I have a 1993 Nissian Skyline R32 GTS-T that I bought for $2,000 in Okinawa, Japan. I'm looking to import it into the U.S. I was wondering if there was anybody who had any information as to if I could bring this in as a Kit Car and who would I have to contact. Does anybody know if the Nissan dealerships in the U.S. would help with conversion or importation of this car.

A: Always wanted to bring one of those over. I would call US customs and check with them. I believe there is a large fee and a lot of emission mods you have to do. The car is hot though totally worth it.

Q: Everytime i turn headlights on, the engine cuts out?
I have a 1993 Nissan Skyline auto and everytime i turn my headlights on the engine just cuts out. once i turned them off the engine kicks in again, also have trouble starting it as the engine wont turn but the battery is fine. any ideas why?

A: Check connections to the alternator and battery, if they are good then change the alternator.

Q: Can I do it?
can I put a V8 in my 1993 Nissan Maxima. And then put a Nissan Skyline rear end in it? to make it rear wheel drive.

A: uummm not without some serious cash and more knowledge than you currently have. You wouls be doing some very serious modifications. If you have to ask, then you can't do it.

Q: Nissan Skyline GTS central locking?
Hi bought a electronic remote control unit to operate central locking from key fob but cannot understand chinese wiring instructions,it is a VENOM unit comes with two remote controls,control box and wiring,my car is 1993 Skyline GTS 2 door someone said as these do not have solenoids I could not wire up remote locking,any help would be appreciated Thanks Bavis in Somerset

A: right, if you think of your wirering system, on each door you have a lock, both of these have an electronic box which will open and close the lock, the drivers side one has the control 1, this means when you open or close the lockthis 1 speaks to all the other locks and opens or closes them, when you connect the system you have bought, you need to connect a this to the main controll side only, this will operate the whole car in turn, i hope this helps, its a complicated thing to try and explain in text, good luck

A: shipping wont be too bad, its the conversion that has to be done in order for u to drive it legally. 15K-35K roughly

Q: roughly how much it costs to remove a turbocharger from an r33 GTS-T Nissan skyline?
i need an estimate from someone in AUSTRALIA on how much it costs to remove a turbocharger from an r33 skyline. The skyline is a 1993 model. Its a GTS-T r33. Can anyone help me out? please dont tell me an estimate if you dont have a clue what it would really cost.

Q: 1993 Nissan Skyline R33 has problems starting.?
When I turn the key to the ignition, the car has trouble turning over. It takes a few seconds (sometimes up to 4 or 5) until the engines turns over and actually starts. In those seconds it sounds as if the car is trying to start (it has a winding up sound) but fails to catch on and actually follow through. The car is stock save for the fact that the previous owner attached some small speakers to the battery which is located in the trunk. Could this be part of the problem?

A: So the winding up sound where is that comming from? That car has a clutch switch that might not be adjusted right or the rubber grommet is about to fail all the way. Look up on the pedal lever and near the engine wall inside drivers floor board for the switch and the rubber grommet that pushes the switch. Ingnition switches wear out the electrical part is seperate If the start signal is not present the engine will turn over and take longer to start up. Start signal fuse in the in car fues box good? You can use a test light bulb to check for start signal while cranking at that fuse too. I have replaced lots of ingnition electrical switches lately in 1993 to 1996 cars not to expensive easy to change.
