A: JEFFY B is not helping much. Should stick to snowboarding. The passenger side is the hardest usually. If you have to you may have better luck drilling somewhere in the floorboard area. Craw under there and their may be a rubber grommet there already.

Using the calculator Nissan has online, I got a price but I know you can get better at the dealership. The question is how much better. So, is there anyone here from Canada that has recnetly leased a Pathfinder SE? I know that Toyota has edge in quality, but there are lots of crazy deals in Nissan. I just want to know which is more economical.. I have the 4Runner but last month, I saw $15K brandnew Pathfinder, and 12K brandnew X-terra.

Hi all, I am at wit's end. My brand new 2008 Path was doing fine for the first 2 months. However, for the past week, I have been experiencing the following problem: 1. Problem: Delay when shifting from Reverse to Drive on upward slope When the vehicle is on a street that is sloped upward, and after backing up I shift from Reverse to Drive, the vehicle will continue to roll backward (downhill) as if it is in Neutral for a few moments before it changes to Drive. 2. Problem: Delay when shifting from Drive to Reverse on downward Slope When the vehicle is on a street that is sloped downward, and after driving forward I shift from Drive to Reverse, the vehicle will continue to roll forward (downhill) as if it is in Neutral for a few moments before it changes to Reverse. 3. Problem: Delay when shifting from Drive to Reverse or Reverse to Drive When the vehicle is on a street that is level and not sloped, and I shift from Drive to Reverse or Reverse to Drive, the vehicle may not roll due to the lack of a slope, but it will have a delay as if it is in Neutral for a few moments before it changes to Reverse or to Drive. The mechanic at the dealership said that this issue is 100% normal and that his personal Pathfinder does the same thing. He says it was okay until now because it was not yet broken in. Is it true that this is typical or is it in fact a transmission problem? (note that once the gear is engaged there is no rollback, it is only in the first few moments after switching from Reverse to Drive or vice versa.)

I am planning on taking a road trip to New York from Texas this holiday. My main concern is driving in the snow. My Pathfinder is 4x2 not 4x4. Should I be worried? Any tips on driving in winter weather?

A: Nah - stay on the main highways and you'll be fine. Take enough money to spend the night in a hotel and watch the weather channel. You will probably not see that much snow. Pathfinder is heavy and your 08 should have good tires, so it should be decent. The keys to driving in snow: 1) Always anticipate and never react 2) Minimize all input (steering, brake, accelerator) 3) Don't use cruise control 4) If you skid steer into the direction the rear end is heading BUT ONLY just as much as it's skidding. A little skid onlt requires a little countersteering 5) If you're approaching a traffic light on a snowy road, pretend it's red even if it's not. Slow down as if it's turning red. 6) NEVER let morons in 4X4s intimidate you into going faster than you want to go. 7) On divided highways in heavy snow, stick with the right lane 8) When possible, follow 18 wheelers and drive in truck tracks 9) If there's any talk or indication of ice, get a room before they're all gone. 10) Don't get below 1/4 tank if bas weather is a possibility 11) Pack blankets, phone charger and water
